Armando Lopez started playing drums at age 10. Originally self-taught, he learned from playing along to his favorite records and watching internet videos. After graduating high school he went on to study music at the University of Miami.
Armando graduated from the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami in 2014. Here he studied under Steve Rucker and John Yarling among others. Since completing his jazz and music business studies, he has been busy with his touring original projects such as Electric Kif and ArtOfficial. On the side, he played drums for the EMMY nominated television show La Voz Kids (The Voice) for several seasons. Throughout those years he performed with artists such as Daddy Yankee, Natalia Jimenez, Gente de Zona, David Bisbal, Pedrito Fernandez, Rakim and more.
Armando continues creating and performing original music and can be seen on tour with Electric Kif.
