Internships
Nu Deco Ensemble’s internship program is designed for the next generation’s music producers, production staff, marketers, and educators to gain hands-on experience working in the modern music industry. The program is geared towards college students and young professionals local to South Florida with a passion for music and an interest in learning about administrative and artistic responsibilities in nonprofit organizations.
An internship with Nu Deco will give students hands-on experience working in music in the 21st century in South Florida. The program will offer one-on-one interaction with department leads and frequent workshops about modern musicianship and cultural arts nonprofit administration. Opportunities to earn college credit through experiential learning will be available. Stipends may be considered individually, depending on the applicant’s skill set and experience.

- Learn how to create video/social content for NDE’s social media and marketing channels in Adobe programs (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop).
- Capture and edit music videos, promotional videos, and documentary-style videos.
- Gain on-set experience for various forms of video and film (music videos, documentaries, promotions, etc.) while working with NDE staff, musicians, venues, and guest artists.
- Assist with concert promotion and media outreach.
- Support the Marketing Manager with brainstorming and execution of content capture around our concerts and tentpole education events.
- Other duties as assigned by the Marketing Manager.
- Â Assist with concert load-in and setup.
- Â Assist in live mixing.
- Â Assist in multitracking recording.
- Â Assist in post-production mixes and deliverables.
- Provide general operating and administrative support for rehearsals and concerts.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Audio and Director of Production.
- Obtain, design, and organize digital content for video projection during shows.
- Operate video software for live concerts such as QLab, Mad Mapper, Resolume, or similar.
- Oversee Video mapping.
- Design overlays for live streams.
- Work closely with the Director of Production to build out and run shows.
- Provide general operating and administrative support for rehearsals and concerts.
- Other duties as assigned by the Production and Marketing Teams.
Work closely with Nu Deco’s artistic directors to:
- Review and edit original music and arrangements for NDE concerts, including full scores and instrumental parts.
- Prepare concert scores, including printing and binding scores, and help maintain our digital library.
- Assist with setting up teleprompters for concerts, including education concerts.
- Provide general assistance during rehearsals, as assigned by the artistic directors.
- Other duties as assigned by the NDE team.
- Assist in researching and identifying potential donors, sensors, and funding/grant opportunities for the organization.
- Support the development and implementation of fundraising campaigns and special events.
- Conduct research on relevant industry trends, best practices, and competitor analysis within performing arts organizations to inform strategic decision-making.
- Assist with maintaining NDE’s Salesforce donor and ticketing database.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and stories for marketing and communication materials.
- Identify potential community partners for programmatic collaborations.
- Provide general operating and administrative support for rehearsals and concerts.
- Other duties as assigned by the Advancement Team.
- Assist with education and outreach event planning and execution, including event set-up, meal, and transportation logistics.
- Provide general support for students in the Nu Deco NXT ensemble during Vibe-Out days, rehearsals, and performances.
- Preparing education concert documents and creative materials.
- Maintain files and organize data on Google Sheets.
- Provide general operating and administrative support for rehearsals and concerts.
- Other duties as assigned by the Education & Outreach and Advancement Teams.
