Tim Watson (24), is a guitarist, sound designer, and composer based in Miami, Florida. His music is heavily influenced by his study of Carnatic and Cuban rhythm, digital sound design, 21st century electro-acoustic music, and free improvisation.Â
Some highlights of his eclectic career include performances in India with south Indian classical heavyweights Anantha R. Krishnan, Charumathi Raghuraman, and Shree Sundarkumar, regular concerts in Miami with Cuban jazz legend Ignacio Berroa’s trio (who he began working with at age 21) his recent composition projects PURE PLASTIC (for JACK Quartet) and BLACKPILL2023.
His project Tim Watson’s Hostile Architecture, a sextet inspired by South Indian classical rhythm, American minimalism, and the music of SOPHIE, just released their first single Adrenochrome Etude.
