Stanislav Golovin has performed as a solo, chamber and orchestral musician throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. He is a gold medal winner of the prestigious Houston Symphony Ima Hogg Young Artist Competition. He has performed with The Cleveland Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Houston Symphony Orchestra, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Kansas City Symphony, Kansas City Chamber Orchestra, and others. He has played under the baton of Gustavo Dudamel, Franz Welser-Möst, Alan Gilbert, Marin Alsop, Hans Graf, Susanna Mälkki, John Williams, Manfred Honeck, David Robertson, Paavo Järvi, James Gaffigan, Lionel Bringuier, Andrew Grames, Giancarlo Guerrero, to name a few.
Stanislav has won numerous awards and competitions, including the Darius Milhaud Performance Prize Competition, Tuesday Musical Club Competition (twice), Wagner College Young Artist Competition, National Young Artist Competition of Uzbekistan (twice), International Jewish Young Artist Competition in Moscow, Fine Arts Award in Clarinet at Interlochen Arts Academy, and the Cleveland Institute of Music Concerto Competition. In addition, Stanislav is the recipient of the 12 under 36 award by the Cleveland Jewish News and Classic Lexus of young Jewish professionals influencing the future of Northeast Ohio through professional and personal achievements.Â
Stanislav is on faculty at The University of Akron and the Cleveland Institute of Music Preparatory. In addition, he has taught at Interlochen Arts Academy. He received his Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees in Clarinet Performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music and his Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Clarinet Performance from the UMKC Conservatory of Music and Dance.
