Shane Roderick (b. 1998) is a multi-faceted, up-and-coming percussionist, composer, and educator pursuing his DMA in Classical Percussion Performance under assistantship at the Frost School of Music studying under Svet Stoyanov. Shane is an avid proponent for performing his own compositions and high-level percussion solo/chamber music, and has performed and placed in both national and international competitions. He also has significant DCI & WGI experience at the world class level. Shane is an active composer within the field of percussion. His pieces have been played at the international level including venues such as PASIC and have been purchased in various parts of the world including Chile, China, Italy, Ireland, Japan, and Taiwan. Shane currently self-publishes his works and also publishes through Cangelosi Publications. Shane travels the country giving masterclasses at both the university and public school level. He most recently held a percussion faculty position at Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, and regularly teaches private lessons. Within the marching arts, Shane works with the Mandarins Drum & Bugle Corps during the summer. Shane received his MM in Music Performance from James Madison University under the direction of Casey Cangelosi, and his BM in Music Education from Lamar University under the direction of Dr. Francisco Perez.
