Nu Deco Ensemble returns to The Citadel to launch their 11th season with a bold celebration of music’s legendary trailblazers. Following the release of their Grateful Dead Suite (October 3rd), Nu Deco will perform the piece alongside a suite inspired by Talking Heads’ fusion of funk, art-rock, and new wave, brought to life with the ensemble’s signature genre-defying flair. Also on the program: Bernstein’s iconic blend of Broadway and film in On the Town, Nu Deco’s creative original Via Ascenscio, and Valgeir Sigurðsson’s Past Tundra—a cinematic work evoking the sparse landscapes and atmospheric beauty of Iceland. Set against striking visuals, this concert is the ultimate launch into a bold new chapter!
