Kristin Baird

VIOLIN

Kristin Baird is passionate about bringing music to diverse audiences as both a performer and educator. As the Teaching Artist of the Florida Orchestra, Ms. Baird performed regularly with the Florida Orchestra while working to strengthen local public school orchestra programs. Prior to the Florida Orchestra, Ms. Baird performed with the New World Symphony while attending numerous national and international festivals including the Aspen Music Festival, Spoleto Music Festival, the European Union Youth Orchestra, and the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival. Ms. Baird maintained a vibrant Suzuki violin studio at the Oberlin Community Music School. As a co-founder Ms. Baird organized Classical Revolution St. Pete, the newest branch of the national organization Classical Revolution. Ms. Baird currently serves as Teaching Assistant for Professor Scott Flavin while pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts at the University of Miami. She received a BM and MM in Violin Performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music. Her teachers include Scott Flavin, Carolyn Stuart, Joan Kwuon, Paul Kantor, William Preucil and Ara Gregorian. Ms. Baird received Suzuki certification under the guidance of Kimberly Meier-Sims.
